About Tahmoor
Tahmoor is a small town in the Macarthur region, about 70.4 kilometres south-west of the Sydney CBD, in Wollondilly Shire Council. It sits near Pheasants Nest, Bargo, Thirlmere, Picton, Couridjah, Buxton and Wilton. The area began as Myrtle Creek, a farming place on the old Great Southern Road, before the railway station and town name Tahmoor came with the Main Southern railway in 1919.
